O.K. it's really things to do with your grandkids, but I think we can be flexible. Go to :http://grandparents.com. Then look for the City Guides section. Choose a city and go! They have 101 ideas for all major cities in the U.S. So if you are visiting another city this summer look that city up as well as San Diego. This site also has ideas for outdoor fun, birthday parties and just about everything you need to have fun with a child. Check it out!

Saturday June 13 Summerwind and the Crooners performing 5:00 to 7:30pm
Saturday July 11 Mirage and Big Band Music 5:00 to 7:30pm
Saturday August 15 Pride of Polynesia 5 to 7 pm A luau will be available. Call 858 486 5020 for reservations.
Saturday September 12 Otro Mundo 5 to 7:30.Light refreshments served at all concerts but the August concert.
It doesn't say but you might want to bring your own chairs or blanket to be on the safe side.

They need to be planted in the ground and miniatures need to be hardened off before you plant them in a protected morning sun place in your garden. So much work for so little profit!!

San Diego County Fair Insiders info
Music Mania is the 2009 San Diego County Fair Theme. The fair opens June 12 to July 5. Here is a fun way to enjoy the fair with your family. Enter a One Day Contest! These don't require advance registration and many offer free fair admission on the day of the contest to contestants. Most contests offer ribbons to the top 5 winners, but there are a few that have cash prizes like Ghiradelli Chocolate and King Arthur Flour.
Adult contests will be judged at 1 p.m. in the Home and Hobby contest area. Judging for all kids contest will be a 2 p.m. in the Kid's Best Tent on the infield. For complete info and rules go to: sdfair.com and click on contests and competitive Exhibits.
